The common room was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day exploring the city. The kitchen facilities were convenient for preparing our own meals, and the lockers were a convenient feature for storing our belongings. The cozy couches and funky decorations added to the lively atmosphere of the common room, making it a great space to meet and connect with other travelers. we felt a sense of community and truly felt like a part of the hostel during our stay.
It's worth mentioning that we did encounter a couple of minor setbacks. Thankfully, the desk clerk accepted my work ID. Additionally, the area where the hostel is located seemed a bit rough, with ongoing building works nearby.

The location of this backpackers is incredibly convenient, being close to the city centre and just a short walk from both the bus and train stations. Plus, it's virtually opposite the Coach Station, making it an ideal spot for travelers. there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, including the popular Henneseys sports bar, which offers a 50% discount on food Monday to Wednesday. the beds are comfortable with blackout curtains, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Some guests may be disruptive, such as talking loudly on their phones in shared rooms.

Everyone was extremely friendly and we felt really welcome. They're we're three of us girls sharing a room with three men. We were a bit nervous at first but they made us feel comfortable. Very close to the bullring so walking into the town was not a problem. Also no curfew, so if you want to go out, you won't have the risk of being locked out. The women at the counter was also extremely good with directing you to places. Overall had a good experience staying with Birmingham backpackers. Thank you.
The showers downstairs ran really hot then freezing cold. So it was quite hard to shower.

Common area was warm and inviting, with comfortable couches.
Capital letters and exclamation marks on posters around the hostel with the house rules make the place less friendly. Mattress was uncomfortable.

We had an excellent stay at Central Backpackers. The friendly staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped us with any questions we had. The communal area had a great vibe and we made some amazing friends during our stay. The facilities were top-notch, especially the fantastic shower facilities. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the main train station. Despite some minor cleanliness issues in the toilets, overall we had a great experience. We highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting the area. we'll definitely be back!

Zohan. Zohan was the best part.
The location is dumpy, but if you don't mind walking, you won't care.

Cheap.
Too dirty room and bed. The breakfast is too simple. The bathing water is difficult to control.

As vegetarians and vegans, we were delighted with the variety of breakfast options available. the staff even offered plant-based milk for our tea and coffee, which was a thoughtful touch.
Felt right at home, no reason to complain.
